Ping An Finance Center

HISTORY

Despite being the fourth tallest building in the world, the Ping An International Finance Center is only China’s second tallest building. In spite of being an engineering marvel in itself, the building almost became the tallest building in the world after it beat Shanghai Tower, but the antenna wasn’t installed due to fears that it would interfere with flight paths.. Atop the tower is a world’s tallest indoor observation deck, which is a great place for tourists who aren’t afraid of heights. Furthermore, the Ping An International Finance Center serves an important civic function as the heart of the Futian District.
