Game freezes when entering the training ground

This is the most-reported crash ("game freeze when I enter the training ground", "can't get into the dungeon"). Verified fixes:

1. Verify game files (Steam → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity).
2. Update GPU drivers — several freezes trace to driver bugs with the game's lighting engine.
3. Disable controller input while entering — a bug can trigger when a controller is connected at load time; enter with keyboard/mouse first.
4. If it persists, move the install off HDD to SSD.

Controller not working / broken input

Players report Xbox controllers not registering, UI buttons flashing, and characters auto-running after a dash.
